Are there any private post-secondary institutions that operate under the same rules and regulations as public institutions in British Columbia?

The question of whether there are any private post-secondary institutions that operate under the same rules and regulations as public institutions in British Columbia is often asked when international students are looking for a program of study that will give them an opportunity upon graduation to apply for a post-graduation work permit.

According to the current Post-Graduation Work Permit Program parameters, in British Columbia, only international students who have graduated from programs of eight or more months in length at public post-secondary institutions or degree programs at authorized private institutions are eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
